 Meet Ms.Anna!

Ms. Anna has been dancing for 24 years, starting at the age of 4, and she has taught since her senior year of high school. Her first teaching experience was leading a ballet class at her church in Alabama. During high school, Ms.Anna joined Ballet Exaltation, Briarwood Ballet’s pre-professional touring company, where she performed in events like Project Dance in Kansas City and Briarwood’s annual Christmas Tree Angel Fundraiser.

In 2014, Ms. Anna joined Light of the World Ballet’s trainee program. As a trainee, she had the opportunity to travel internationally, performing the original LWB ballet The Crown in Myanmar (Burma) and Peru. Anna has also earned solo roles in the Trainee Repertoire. After being promoted to an Apprentice position in 2017, she continued performing LWB’s original choreography in Israel, Hungary, Slovakia, and various locations in and around Syracuse, New York.

In the summer of 2019, Ms. Anna joined Suzhou Arts Collective, where she performed contemporary choreography until January 2020. After returning home, she shifted her focus toward teaching but was honored to perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy for the Classical Ballet of Mobile in 2021.

Ms. Anna graduated from Coastal Alabama Community College with an Associate in Science/General Studies and now teaches preschool education in Virginia. Ever since she was five years old, her dream has been to become a ballet teacher—and now, she’s living that dream!
