Meet Jessie Casey

Meet Jessie, our dedicated Assistant Artistic Director at Dance Academy of Virginia. With an impressive background in dance, she brings passion, experience, and inspiration to every class she teaches.

From student to leader, Jessie’s dance journey began in North Carolina, where she trained in all styles of Dance and earned her diploma from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Since joining DAV in 2020, she has become an integral part of our community, guiding and mentoring young dancers.

Beyond the studio, Jessie is an NFL dancer, where she has flourished over five seasons. Serving as team captain for two years, she was honored to represent her team at the 2025 Pro Bowl!

Jessie’s love for dance started at just four years old, and that passion has only grown stronger. Her training in classical ballet set a strong foundation on which she was able to build, and excel in, her NFL career. Her goal at DAV is to help students build confidence, discipline, self-expression, and joy through movement.

For Jessie, the most fulfilling part of teaching is watching her students grow. Seeing them step onto the stage as confident young dancers, knowing she has played a role in their development, is a feeling beyond words.

Jessie encourages all dancers to believe in themselves. “So often, we doubt our own abilities or compare ourselves to others, but the truth is, you never know what you're capable of until you fully commit, work hard, and give yourself a chance. The world is full of possibilities, and sometimes the biggest limitations are the ones we place on ourselves.”
