As the Dance Academy of Virginia prepares for a new season, the energy inside the studio is already building. Families are easing into new routines, instructors are planning fresh choreography, and students are eager to return to a space that challenges them, encourages them, and helps them grow - both as dancers and as individuals.

This year, DAV is introducing exciting new opportunities across all levels, and the path ahead is full of momentum.

Fall Classes Are Filling Up

The fall schedule is packed with dynamic classes across all disciplines: ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and more. Younger students can explore creative movement and pre-ballet, while older dancers can refine their technique in leveled classes. Our faculty carefully places each student to ensure they’re both supported and challenged.

Fall registration is now open, and spots fill quickly, especially in popular time slots. Families and adult dancers are encouraged to enroll early to secure the schedule that works best for them.

More Chances to Perform, More Room to Shine

Performances give students a chance to showcase their progress, build confidence, and experience the joy of dancing in front of an audience. This season, DAV is expanding its performance calendar to include new community events, studio showcases, and additional opportunities for Academy dancers.

These performances are thoughtfully aligned with each dancer’s experience level. From first-time recital students to seasoned DAV members, everyone has a space to grow, collaborate, and take pride in their achievements.
