Connecting our community through dance!

Founded by Katherine Horrigan, the former director of Adagio Ballet, the Dance Academy of Virginia believes in supporting our community by nurturing the minds, hearts, and bodies of our children through a quality professional dance education.

Our programs focus on artistic and technical development building skills through goal-based achievement through positive motivation. Students gain discipline and confidence through self-achievement while staying physically fit and building healthy habits doing what they love.

We aim to teach the whole student so that dancers learn skills that transfer into academic success and mental and physical wellness. Now more than ever, we need to stay active, motivated, find joy and stay connected even while physically distant.
