Meet Ms. Talia!
Little Dancer & Youth Program Instructor
Talia Roman is originally from Arlington, Virginia and is currently based there. She earned her degree from Vassar College, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Dance Studies. During her time at Vassar, Talia served as a teaching assistant for Beginning Ballet and was president of Coalesce Dance Ensemble, where she taught weekly classes and led rehearsals.
As a performer, Talia danced with Vassar College’s Coalesce Dance Ensemble each semester and participated in multiple Dance Studies thesis performances choreographed by fellow students. While completing her dance studies minor, she worked with an impressive range of choreographers, including Desmond Richardson of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Harriet Clark, Miriam Mahdaviani, Steve Rooks, John Meehan, Lisa Harvie, and Leslie Sachs.
This year, Talia will be teaching at the McLean location, working with Little Dancer and Youth programs. In her classes, dancers can expect to be challenged, grow both as artists and individuals, and most importantly, have fun. Her advice for the year ahead is a powerful reminder: never let anyone make you feel like you aren’t good enough—you are, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
