Stephanie Driscoll is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now lives in Arlington, Virginia. She earned bachelor's degrees in International Studies and Political Science, with minors in Dance and Classical Studies, from Elon University before completing a Master of Science in International Politics at SOAS, University of London.

Stephanie began teaching dance as a teenager in Pittsburgh and continued teaching with the University College London Dance Society while pursuing her graduate studies. After moving to the Washington, DC area, she joined Adagio Ballet in 2017 and has been a valued member of the Dance Academy of Virginia faculty since the studio's opening season.

Throughout her dance career, Stephanie has performed both as a soloist and as a member of the corps in productions of The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Paquita, and Cinderella. She was also a member of the Elon University Dance Team, serving as captain during her senior year.

This year, Stephanie will be teaching in the Little Dancer and Youth Programs at our Del Ray location. In her classes, dancers can expect to work hard, do their best, learn and grow, and have plenty of fun along the way. Her advice for the year ahead is to come to class with a positive attitude, dance with confidence, and, of course, always point those toes!
