Meet Ms. Kaylee!

All Programs Instructor

Kaylee Armstead hails from Chesterfield, Virginia, and is currently based in Arlington, Virginia. She attended Old Dominion University, where she majored in Psychology with minors in Dance and Special Education. Kaylee's teaching history includes working at her local dance studio, Genia Johnson Dance Company, during her high school years, along with substituting throughout her college experience. In terms of dance performance, she was an active member of her studio's competition team, attended her high school's dance specialty center, and served as captain of her school's dance team in her senior year, earning recognition as a UDA All American. During her time at college, Kaylee had the opportunity to perform in fall and spring showcases at ODU and participated in the ACDA Mid-Atlantic Conference, where a piece she was involved in, titled "Neither Lost Nor Found," choreographed by James Morrow, was selected for the gala performance. This year, she will be teaching the Little Dancer and Youth Programs in McLean. In her classes, students can expect to have fun, and her piece of advice as they embark on this year is to be like a sponge, absorbing everything they learn just as a dry sponge absorbs water.
