Meet Ms. Isabel!

Little Dancer & Academy Program Instructor

Isabel Robles is originally from Reston, Virginia, and currently resides in Tyson’s Corner, VA. She attended James Madison University, where she studied dance. Isabel has an impressive teaching history, serving as the Associate Director for first-year dance majors, where she led classes and co-choreographed works for the cohort. Her university coursework, combined with hands-on experience, provided her with a strong foundation in dance pedagogy and classroom leadership. Additionally, she has taught master classes and workshops at various institutions, including James Madison University, University of Georgia, American Dance Festival, Thomas Dale High School, CityDance, Ravel Dance Studio, Henrico High School, and George Mason University.

In terms of performance, Isabel was a company dancer with Ballet Hispanico in New York City for four seasons before returning to the DMV area. She has toured internationally and performed on esteemed stages such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., New York City Center, Lincoln Center’s BAAND Together Festival, and the Guggenheim Museum. This year, she will be teaching in McLean, focusing on the Academy and little dancer programs. In her classes, dancers can expect to have fun while challenging themselves to try new things. Her piece of advice as they embark on this year is to show up with a positive attitude!
