Meet Ms. Hannah!
All Programs Instructor
Hannah Long is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and currently resides in Washington, D.C. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and German from Georgetown University, where she combined her academic pursuits with an active involvement in dance performance and choreography.
Hannah began dancing at the age of four at Jami Masters School of Dance, where she later returned to teach for two years. She is committed to continuing her education as a dance educator and successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum in 2023. From 2024 to 2025, she was a member of Carolina Dance Masters and became certified through Dance Masters of America to teach Ballet and Modern techniques.
Throughout her dance career, Hannah has performed and choreographed for stage and Dance on Film productions with the Georgetown University Dance Company. Her performance experience also includes appearances as a soloist in Jami Masters School of Dance’s Happy Holidays! Winter Production, performances at the Charlotte Emerging Dance Awards and Charlotte Youth Festival, as well as appearances at a Carolina Panthers halftime show and the Levine Children’s Hospital Gala.
In Hannah’s classes, dancers can expect to work hard while having fun in a supportive environment. She encourages students to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and uplift one another throughout the year. Her advice for dancers is simple: Never be afraid to ask questions. If you have a question, chances are someone else is wondering the same thing, too.
