Meet Ms.Gaby!

Gaby began teaching dance last year around various RECenters in Northern Virginia before joining DAV. Gaby has been dancing since childhood, performing in recitals yearly, and even showcasing musical talents by playing guitar, piano, and singing during performances. While living in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Gaby performed multiple times at the prestigious Emirates Palace, including an exceptional performance in front of the Sheikh. Gaby also worked with international choreographers on the opera project Water in the Desert: A Zayed Legacy at New York University Abu Dhabi and was selected to perform an original medley at a district-wide talent show there.

In 2020, Gaby moved to Virginia and joined BalletNova Center for Dance, performing in full productions of The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 2022, Gaby attended the Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Program, where they were selected to perform in a small production of Sleeping Beauty.

Currently a sophomore at George Washington University, Gaby is part of the Balance dance group, which performs at the end of every semester. Outside of school, Gaby is also a member of the JAM dance group, having performed in full productions like Love JAM and Christmas in July.

Fun Fact: Gaby advises fellow dancers to remember why you started dancing and have fun. "The hard work and dedication you put into dance can sometimes make you forget your love for it, so check in with yourself and rekindle that passion occasionally!"
