Meet Ms.Anna!


 

Ms. Anna has been teaching dance for 20 years, starting her journey at 4. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Virginia and began teaching at Charlottesville Ballet Academy in 2022. Throughout her career, Ms. Anna has performed in numerous classical and contemporary works, including I Rise by Amy Hall Garner, Near Light by Tommie Waheed Evans, Viva Vivaldi by Gerald Arpino, Vivante from The Sleeping Beauty, and roles such as Lead Mirliton and Flower Demi Soloist in Willam Christensen's The Nutcracker.

In addition to her performance career, Ms. Anna holds a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy and a Master of Teaching in Elementary Education. She is currently a 2nd-grade teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), combining her love for education and the arts.


Fun Fact: Ms. Anna encourages her students to take risks in the studio. "The studio is your laboratory, and dance class is your time to experiment with movement. Don't be afraid to fail or make mistakes—those are just opportunities to learn and grow!"
