Youth Program Instructor

Abigail Fehlner is from Newburyport, MA, and currently resides in Arlington, VA. She attended James Madison University, where she earned a BA in Dance. Abigail has extensive teaching experience in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, and musical theatre, working with children ages 5-18 in both recreational and competitive programs. Her performance history includes being part of JMU’s Virginia Repertory Dance Company, where she collaborated with notable artists and companies such as Norbert De La Cruz III, Ballet Hispánico, Rubén Graciani, Lucinda Childs, Monique Haley, Brandi Coleman, and Katherine Helen Fisher. After graduating, she performed in Maine Dance Company's premiere production, "Narratives in Motion." This year, she will be teaching at the Del Ray location as part of the Youth Program. Students can expect to refine their current dance skills while continuously learning new techniques and concepts. Abigail advises dancers to be open-minded, stay focused, and most importantly, have fun throughout the year.
