All Programs Instructor

Brooke Katsafados is a passionate and accomplished dance educator, choreographer, and performer from Brick, New Jersey. She began her dance training at Shore Dance Center and later advanced her skills at New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, specializing in ballet, modern, and contemporary dance. Currently pursuing her BFA in Dance with a minor in Business at George Mason University, Brooke has earned prestigious honors, including the New Jersey Governor's Award for Artistic Excellence and Leadership in Dance and the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award.


Throughout her career, Brooke has had the privilege of working with esteemed choreographers such as Manuel Vignoulle, Larry Keigwin, Liz Koeppen, Tim Stickney, Susan Shields, Christina Robson, and Christopher D'Amboise. These artists have played a pivotal role in shaping her artistic vision and movement style, contributing to her growth as both a performer and creator.


With over seven years of teaching experience, Brooke loves inspiring young dancers and helping them build confidence, technique, and artistry. In addition to her teaching, Brooke is an active choreographer, blending contemporary movement with emotional storytelling. She is thrilled to bring her expertise and passion for dance to Dance Academy of Virginia and its students.
