Policies

  • Tuition is paid in full by the start of each session. 

  • Discounts- 5% Sibling or 5% Multiple class discounts offered.

  • $45 registration fee & COVID fee applied to tuition 

  • On-going enrollment- tuition prorated to start date.

  • Tuition refunds are not granted.

  • Make-up Policy: Families must contact office for an online make-up option during their current session. Studio make-ups are not guaranteed. Make-ups are not granted due to weather related closures. Contact Academy by email or phone. 

  • Weather Policy- in case of inclement weather, DAV will announce updates and closures on the website and social media. If no cancellation is announced 2 hours prior to class start time, classes are running as normal. If possible classes may be held virtually. Make-ups are not granted due to weather related closures.

Studio & Online Classes

  • Every in-studio class is offered on zoom and held simultaneously. 

  • Each registered student receives a zoom link for their class.

  • On enrollment form please indicate if you are requesting to attend class in the studio or online only for the session. Studio space limited due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.  

  • Technology- the academy has invested in teacher microphones and recording equipment to enhance the online experience. If technical difficulties arise, we will help troubleshoot and send the class recording. 

  • Zoom attendees- please log into link no later than 5 minutes before class start time so teacher can admit you to class. Once class starts, teacher will not be able to admit late arrivals until class break.

COVID-19 Policies

The safety of our students, families and faculty is our top priority and we are following CDC and VHD guidelines and taking additional precautions advised by Dance/USA for dance schools. 

Mask Policy:
Masks are optional while COVID-19 community levels remain low. (effective 3/1/22)
 

DAV is following the CDC’s updated guidance (2/25/22), which states that masks should be optional in communities with low levels of COVID-19. DAV will continue to follow the CDC’s guidance for operating safely and will monitor the community level metrics and update the mask policy as needed.  

COVID Exposure Plan:

  • If a student is exposed to a positive covid case, please have student attend classes on zoom until a covid test is taken with negative results. 

  • Please notify the school of exposure immediately.

    • We will contact class or classes that may be affected by exposure. Your privacy is maintained.

    • Students or classes may go virtual.

    • Please take covid test if symptoms arise and attend classes virtually until quarantine is complete.

COVID-19 Studio Procedures

STUDIO ARRIVAL/PICK UP

  • Students should arrive with dance clothes on under street clothes

  • If needed, bring small dance bag for shoes, water bottle, clothes storage. Bag may be brought in studio

 

Students ages 2-5 : 1 parent/guardian escorts student

- Enter lobby no more than 5 minutes before class time

- 1 parent/guardian may escort student to studio and wait onsite during class

- Parent/guardian should escort student to the bathroom, supervise hand washing & sanitizer, return student to class

 

Students ages 6+ : Drop off/pick up only (after 1st class of session)

- Arrive 5 mins before class time

- Parent/guardian will be given instructions for front door/back door to drop off/pick up student.

- Pick up- no later than 5 minutes after class ends. 

Facility

  • Ventilating- air purifiers and fans are running in studios and lobby at all times. UV lights are used in HVAC and for studio deep sanitizing. Studio doors remain open.

  • Sanitizing- All touch points, barres and floors are disinfected throughout the day

  • Each studio has its own building entrance. Studio C has entrance from front patio.

Referral Program

Refer a friend and receive a $50 credit towards future tuition! We are grateful for your support in helping us build this DAV community. As a thank you for your personal recommendations, we will offer you a tuition credit once your referral becomes a new student at DAV.

 

  • The new student receives a $20 credit for future tuition. 

  • Eligible referrals are for new students only. 

  • When new students enrolls, provide name & email of referring family. Or give us the contact information of your referral and we will reach out to them.

  • Once new student completes first session, tuition credits are available for use. 

  • Credit is valid for 1 year and may only be applied towards tuition.

  • Up to 6 referrals per family can be awarded annually.
